Harajuku, in Tokyo, is famous for Japanese street fashion. Getting out of Harajuku station, you can see not only the street fashion but also Japanese traditional culture there.

#1 Takeshita Dori (Street)

Takeshita Dori (Street) is a symbol of Harajuku, the center of street fashion and birthplace of many Japanese fashion trends.
The street is narrow, about 400 meters long with variety of shops, boutiques, cafes and fast food shops.
Due to the incredible popularity of the street, it becomes crowded on weekends, so you can't pass through it quickly. On the side streets, you can also find interesting boutiques, many trendy shops and second-hand clothes stores.
The target audience of Takeshita Dori is trendy Tokyo youth.

Shops on the Takeshita Dori usually open daily from 11:00 to 20:00.

#2 Omotesando

Oriental Bazaar is a souvenir shop right in the center of Omotesando. The shop has three floors, carrying wide range of items with reasonable prices. You can find all sorts of Japanese souvenirs there and even something you have never guessed.

#3 Meiji Jingu (Shrine)

Meiji Jingu is one of the Japan's most popular shrines. The shrine is a very beautiful place, especially with its landmark entrance, the 40 foot-high (12-meter) Meiji Jingu Torii (gate). The shrine can be very busy, especially on weekends. On Sunday mornings it's likely to see a traditional wedding procession.
The shrine itself is very peaceful, the large green gardens surrounding the shrine are stunning and provide a great place to get a break from the crowds. You can also get to the shrine through Yoyogi Park.

Yoyogi Park is one of Tokyo's largest city parks, it lies right between the busy city centers of Shibuya and Shinjuku. Being in a dense and overly-stimulating city like Tokyo can wear you down. Yoyogi Park is a great place if you need to relax or get fresh air. This wonderful green spot is a great place for jogging, picnicking and the other outdoor activities.
