The weeping cherry blossoms are in Ibaraki prefecture, which can be reached in about an hour from Tokyo.
Hanwaku-in (Gongosan Kanbutsu-ji Temple) in Ryugasaki, Ibaraki Prefecture, was built in 978, more than 1000 years ago.
In the back of the main hall, the cherry blossoms, which are about 400 years old, are designated as natural monuments of the prefecture.
